Engraved design depicts a Chinese dragon: In China, the dragon is benevolent creature, yang symbol of male strength and fertility, active principle of energy, light, and strength. It spends the winter underground and when it awakens on the spring equinox, it causes the first thunder and starts the spring rains, which are beneficial for agriculture.
